Sarah is a Registered Midwife, Birth Educator & Trainer for The Real Birth Company, and Midwife Writer for an international parenting website. With 14 years experience as a midwife in both the UK and the USA, she has welcomed countless babies earth-side and supported hundreds of families through the transformational process of childbirth, and on into parenthood. Her experience has spanned a wide range of maternity care settings both in the private and public sector, from the home to the operating theatre, and everything in between.

Her passion for Midwifery started at a young age. Having always been fascinated by pregnancy and birth, and the body’s inner wisdom and ability to create and nurture life, the decision to become a Midwife was a natural progression. A commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting health within the community, were also behind her early desires to become a Midwife.

She has always had a strong passion for providing care and birth services in the community, which led to her working in birth centres and home birth teams throughout her career. She is passionate about educating parents in the benefits of safe physiological birth, and empowering and supporting birth professionals to practise safe out of hospital care to enable them to feel confident in the choices available to birthing people.
