BSc(Hons)Midwifery, MSc Advanced Clinical Practice, RNDIPHE.


Denise is currently the Head of Nursing for Professional Standards at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.  A midwife by background with over 20 years’ experience within both community and the acute setting, she has helped develop multi- professional training locally, nationally and internationally.   Denise has also worked with the University of Sunderland in developing their immersive/simulation suite to provide dynamic, inter-professional team training utilising human factors skills. Working alongside multi professional teams Denise has provided up to date evidence based training and contributed to the development of National guidelines to ensure best practice.
