
Benash Nazmeen MBE, RM, BSc, MSc, FHEA, FRCM is an Assistant Professor of Midwifery, researcher and national leader in maternity health equity.
She is Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Association of South Asian Midwives C.I.C (ASAM) and a member of the National Maternity Review Health Equity Expert Reference Group, helping to shape national recommendations to improve equity and maternity outcomes.
Benash has advised national organisations on maternity safety, health inequalities and culturally safe care, including previously serving as a CQC Specialist Advisor and as a panellist for the MBRRACE-UK Perinatal panel. Her work bridges research, regulation, education and community leadership to support evidence-informed system change.
