Mr Aarvold is a consultant surgeon who specialises in children’s orthopaedic surgery. He joined the Trust in November 2015.
He holds weekly clinics dedicated to developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), continuing Professor Nick Clarke’s legacy. Together with Ms Kirsten Elliott and Mr Ed Gent he manages the Pavlik harness programme for infants with DDH, plus operations for those who need surgical treatment.
Mr Aarvold also has a specialist interest in cerebral palsy, and runs fortnightly dedicated neuromuscular clinics with Miss Caroline Edwards. Alongside the specialist multi-disciplinary team, he treats children with the condition using botox injections, soft tissue releases and bone operations.
