Elliot joined the London Ambulance Service in 2014 having qualified from the University of Worcester. Since then he has undertaken a range of roles including frontline ambulance and fast response cars, as well as working as a Practice Educator at one of London’s Operational Placement Centres where he provided mentorship and supervision for new members of staff. Currently he works within the control room’s ‘Clinical Hub’ where he provides telephone assessment and advice to patients as well as support for call taking and dispatch staff.
Elliot has been with Baby Lifeline since 2018 and has provided training for both ambulance staff and community midwives. He has a special interest in maternity and neonatal care having attended numerous obstetric calls. These experiences initially prompted him to become involved with Baby Lifeline to further develop his own skills, but has since found great satisfaction in helping others to feel more confident when faced with childbirth emergencies in the community.
