The Need for Training

Women enter pregnancy nowadays with more complex pre-existing medical conditions and other co-morbidities. Our approach to this as health professionals has been challenged. There was a reported increase in maternal deaths in the latest MBRRACE-UK reports, and it was found that in over half of deaths improvements to care would have made a difference to the outcome. Two-thirds of women who died were known to have pre-existing medical conditions. This new course aims to support us and make a difference to our women.

Aims & Objectives

To inform delegates of evidence-based best practice in identifying and managing comorbidities in pregnancy.
